Raymond Public Trails

Rockingham Recreation Trail

This 25 mile former rail line connects Manchester and Newfields. Visitors to Raymond can access the trail near the Lamprey River Elementary School on Old Manchester Road and enjoy a walk to Onway Lake. As of 2014, the Town of Raymond was making plans to purchase and improve a former Greenfields site on Depot Road that would connect the Rockingham Trail, Down Town Raymond, and the Lamprey River. Lillian Cassier Memorial Forest

This town-owned parcel is part of 2000 acres of undeveloped forests and wetlands, just south of Pawtuckaway State Park. The trail is flat-to-hilly, but it has no major elevational changes. Expect to get your feet wet along the trail and crossing streams. For a map of this site, please click here. To get to the parking area, take Route 27 to Harriman Hill Road. Take the second left onto Lakeview, then right onto Woodlawn. Woodlawn becomes Lake Shore Drive. Turn right on Briar Road where there is a small parking lot and some road-side parking.
