This 2027 acre parcel has frontage on the North and Bean rivers. The site also has two ponds and black gum swamps. Timber is occasionally harvested here and trails will be closed at those times. Hunting is allowed in season. Dogs are welcome, but horses are not allowed. A small parking lot and kiosk are located under the power lines on Stevens Hill Road, 2.9 miles from Deerfield Road. Pawtuckaway State Park has three mountain ridges within its 5535 acres. The distances to the summits from the visitor center are 1 to 1.5 miles. The North Mountain Trail passes through a series of glacial erratics (boulders) and on to Dead Pond. Swimming is available at Pawtuckaway Lake, but the number of swimmers at any time is limited for safety reasons. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children age 6-11. Pets are allowed on hiking trails through Reservation Road only, not through the main entrance. Pets are not permitted in the campground or beach area.
