West Environmental was contracted to map and perform a bioinventory of the Lamprey River's floodplain and associated wetlands in 2010. The study covered the four towns that lie along the Wild and Scenic portion of the main stem river: Epping, Lee, Durham, and Newmarket. Thanks to that study, we have a clear picture of floodplain delineations, the habitats that exist there, and what animals live in those areas.
